Our hearts are broken. Doug always had a beautiful smile and a quick joke for us all He will be missed by so so many Hugs to His Brothers Ray and Dave sister Jean and wife Judy and family.

We miss Doug every day.
Coffee Club at McDonalds in the mornings before work and off to work with Stan or Rod or a job on his own. Checking in by phone in the evenings to talk over what they had done that day or what they would do tomorrow.
He was like part of the family. Our Grand kids called him “Uncle Doug”

The philosopher Albert Pine wrote, “What we do for ourselves in this life dies with us; what we do for others, and the world, will live forever. ” Doug touched so many lives and so many people are better for having known him. We are so sorry we cannot attend the celebration of his life because we are still out of the country. We are deeply saddened to hear that he is gone from our lives. Without exaggeration we say that he was the most generous, reliable, positive, skilled, hard-working, honest, considerate and generous man we have ever met – a rare gem in his line of work. He was one of the most resourceful, helpful, skilled, fearless, well rounded home renovation experts we had ever had the pleasure of working with and certainly one of the most decent human beings. We will miss him dearly. Our thoughts are with his wife and other family.

Very sorry to hear this sad news, Doug was one of a kind, skilled, helpful, honest & always a true gentleman. Dave, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your twin brother . I fondly remember those walks to school or the bus, so many years ago and finally had it figured out how to tell you apart by the grey patch in that dark head of hair. My condolences to you and all your family.
