June passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Daughter of the late McGill and Alma Kiernan. Beloved wife of the late Lorne. Much loved grandma June of Trevor, Amanda, Evan, Emma, Riley, Jacob, Micah, Hayden, and Alexa, and great-grandma of Mackenzie, Marion, Quinton, Addy, Ellie, Kain, Huxley, Saylor, and Scotlynn. Dear sister of the late Lorne and Lona. June is also survived by her step-daughter Chris, and granddaughters Laurie-Ann, Jody, and Carrie.
June was a deeply devoted Christian, who spent her lifetime serving God and walking faithfully in His love.
She was a wonderful mother who was both loving and caring. Her love truly knew no limits. She was known for always putting the needs of others before her own. Her kindness and willingness to help wherever she could touched many people. June had a warm heart and a generous spirit, and she will be dearly missed by her family, friends, neighbours, and all who knew her.
A lifelong member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Barrie, June’s church community will also feel her loss.

Posted on: Tuesday, November 11, 2025Always a smile and looking to chat! Very fond memories of “Aunt June” at our home or outside talking in the yard. She will be doing her daily walks with mom now and chatting non stop I’m sure. My sincerest condolences to everyone – I’m out East so cannot attend the memorial xoxo

Posted on: Tuesday, November 11, 2025She was truly one of a kind; caring, thoughtful, and always there to give a helping hand. She was the greatest neighbour/friend anyone could ask for. I’ll never forget her warmth and generosity, from the freshly baked cookies and treats she’d bring over, to how she’d have the laneway cleared before we could even get outside with the snow blower. Junie loved her garden and took such joy in sharing her vegetables and puttering around her yard. Her kindness, energy, and caring spirit touched everyone around her and made our neighbourhood a brighter, warmer place. She will be deeply missed, but the joy and kindness she shared will never be forgotten.

Posted on: Thursday, November 13, 2025I was very saddened to hear about June’s passing. I had the privilege of working with June at Women Alive in the 90’s. She was an avid “walker” and often brought “sound reason” into staff meetings. With her quiet yet strong personality, she comforted those who were hurting and brought joy into the office every day.
She’s with Jesus and Heaven is all the richer for it!
Sympathies and blessings to her loved ones!
