June passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025 at the age of 84 years.  Daughter of the late McGill and Alma Kiernan.  Beloved wife of the late Lorne.  Loving mother of Jay (Laurain), Mary-Ann (Kent), Tracey (Craig), and Brad (Melanie).  Much loved grandma June of Trevor, Amanda, Evan, Emma, Riley, Jacob, Micah, Hayden, and Alexa, and great-grandma of Mackenzie, Marion, Quinton, Addy, Ellie, Kain, Huxley, Saylor, and Scotlynn.  Dear sister of the late Lorne and Lona.  June is also survived by her step-daughter Chris, and granddaughters Laurie-Ann, Jody, and Carrie.

Always a smile and looking to chat! Very fond memories of “Aunt June” at our home or outside talking in the yard. She will be doing her daily walks with mom now and chatting non stop I’m sure. My sincerest condolences to everyone – I’m out East so cannot attend the memorial xoxo

She was truly one of a kind; caring, thoughtful, and always there to give a helping hand. She was the greatest neighbour/friend anyone could ask for. I’ll never forget her warmth and generosity, from the freshly baked cookies and treats she’d bring over, to how she’d have the laneway cleared before we could even get outside with the snow blower. Junie loved her garden and took such joy in sharing her vegetables and puttering around her yard. Her kindness, energy, and caring spirit touched everyone around her and made our neighbourhood a brighter, warmer place. She will be deeply missed, but the joy and kindness she shared will never be forgotten.

I was very saddened to hear about June’s passing. I had the privilege of working with June at Women Alive in the 90’s. She was an avid “walker” and often brought “sound reason” into staff meetings. With her quiet yet strong personality, she comforted those who were hurting and brought joy into the office every day.

She’s with Jesus and Heaven is all the richer for it!

Sympathies and blessings to her loved ones!

I first got to know June through her smile, warmth and service at Trinity Community Church in Oro. She’s always been a wonderful encourager and witness for the good news of Jesus Christ. Our prayers and thoughts are with her entire family and community of friends.
