Nils Ulrik Andersen

June 28, 1958 - September 4, 2025

Funeral Details:

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our Dad, Nils Ulrik Andersen, who peacefully left us on September 4th, 2025. A man of deep character, quiet strength, and an easygoing charm, he leaves behind memories built on love, laughter, and long walks down the fairway.

Dad was never happier than when he had a golf club in hand and grass underfoot. His love of golf wasn’t just about the game — it was about the rhythm of it, the patience it taught, and the friendships it nurtured. Whether it was an early morning tee time, a friendly round with business buddies, or teaching us how to line up a putt, golf was more than a pastime — it was part of who he was.

Nils will be deeply missed, but we would like to remember him with happiness, laughter, and stories.  If you knew him, please share a fond memory - especially one that makes you smile.  He would like that.

With fond memories, sadly gone far too soon.
The words below are not our own, but rather lines taken from a poem:
    REMEMBER
-When I come to the end of my journey, and I travel my last weary mile
-Remember some good I have done
-Remember I’ve had loads of fun
-Forget that I’ve stumbled and blundered and sometimes fell by the way
-Remember I have fought some hard battles and won by close of day
-Then forget to grieve for my going, I would not have you sad for a day
-And come the shade of evening, when the sun paints the sky in the west, stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best.
    Rest in Peace.

Remembering with love, our dear friend.

Memories: meeting Nils many years ago as a young man then boyfriend to my best friend.

He was a good person, friend and an important part of myself and my then boyfriend, now husband’s life.

He was kind, funny and a bit adventurous….we were young about 20 years old when we were part of each others weddings which were celebrated within months of each other. What fun we had, how crazy he/we could be.

We are left with many memories as our lives were shared. One adventure I remember well, traveling by car to Atlantic city leaving late Friday driving many miles arriving and checking into fancy casino hotel with only hours to enjoy diner/shows/gambling, leaving very early to drive again many miles home to arrive in time for work Monday morning.. not sure who’s idea that may have been.

Over many years as life went on and we each had families of our own we were often together sharing and making memories at our children’s birthdays and other special days.

In the last few years with life changes and miles between us we were not as close…..
But Nils you will always be remembered and in our hearts forever.

    Rest In Peace Dear Friend
    With Love. Sharon & Darrell
